The PM envisages a “Digital India”. Smart phone penetration is projected to increase from the current 20% to 60% with 750 million smartphone users by 2019. Only 74% of Indians are literate. However, anyone able to write one’s name is considered literate. Even otherwise, Indians are averse to reading. Clearly, any Digital literacy drive will pivot on video content rather than textual matter; hence video content designed for the smartphone medium is the way forward.

Introducing ‘HaHaHa’ India’s first multilingual app with enough comedy content to keep you chortling and provide you with a welcome break from the stresses of everyday life. The content on HaHaHa is completely original and is available exclusively on the app, with the exception of "Net Collect" where we have aggregated funny videos from the net.

The App, possibly the first of its kind in India, is designed to be easy on the eye while tickling the funny bone. The comedic content, currently available in Hindi and Bengali, is designed to cater to a wide variety of humorous tastes and is produced by a highly skilled creative team with an edgy and topical sense of humour.

HaHaHa is an app that is currently available on the Android platform and is absolutely free of cost. Its sole intent is to help the viewer release stress whenever he/she 'snacks' on HaHaHa content after a long and possibly grueling day. A multilingual video App dedicated to improving quality of life for people in rural India.

Leveraging the framework of Digital India, "Khushhali" is a mobile app developed for and aimed at the rural sector. It delivers short, entertaining and informative videos for rural inhabitants enabling them to access information relating to agricultural, educational, skill development and financial matters on their smart phones. In the process this app will improve the quality of rural life and make the people there more prosperous. The content on this App will also be available in audio-only version.

A multilingual App devoted to pregnancy, neo-natal care and mother-infant wellness

"Saheli" is a mobile App delivering short, entertaining and informative videos for pregnant women enabling them to access relevant information about pregnancy on their smart phones. In-built features enable the viewer to connect with doctors and health centres, if required.

The App will be downloaded by women who are expecting. It aims to empower pregnant women by providing information about various stages of pregnancy, nutritional requirements, precautions to be taken during pregnancy, health service providers in their locality, and tips to handle the anxiety and fear of the unknown associated with delivery.

This apart, the app will also be aimed at young mothers with children up to 5yrs of age, providing information about proper child care, required nutrition for kids, regular vaccinations required, and any other health care instructions.

This is the first of our client specific Apps, designed to cut through today’s media and communication clutter. 2019 marks the centenary of Bengali cinema. Each year, from 2016, Mydia100 will mount a 3-hour operatic, multi-media show for cerebral viewers with a taste for aesthetic entertainment.

Exhaustive research would precede this production, with extensive use of archival footage, stage performances, songs, dances and theatre, making for a seamless experience of the evolution of Bengali Cinema incorporating the epochal incidents which defined the Indian nation at the time.

This landmark event will be organised under the banner of CII.

BARUN DAS

Barun Das, an IIT Madras, IIM Calcutta and LSE alumnus, is among the new breed of dynamic leaders in the media industry in India who combine a deep insight in the local markets with an emphasis on operational and technical efficiency. His core competence lies in turning around large companies and building media brands. Innovation, operational efficiencies and pragmatism are the hallmarks of his approach.

He has spent over 20 years working in the Media sector, both in India and abroad, most recently as CEO of Zee News Ltd. As the youngest CEO of any news network in India, he spearheaded the expansion of the organisation’s news business. Under his stewardship, Zee News Ltd. boasted of seven news and current affairs channels in its portfolio, making it the largest and most profitable news network of the country.

Prior to this, Barun had successful stints as the Executive Vice President at MCCS(owner of the erstwhile Star group’s news operations in India) and as the Head of International Business at Astro All Asia, Networks Plc. Kuala Lumpur.

Earlier, Barun successfully held top managerial positions at the India Today Group and the ABP Group – two of India’s largest print media house.

Barun is a founding member and has been Vice President of News Broadcasters Association, a prestigious body of news channels in India, which looks into issues such as broadcast standards and code of media ethics. He was also a member of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and was once a juror for finals of the International Emmys.

Barun is a co-founder and a Director on the Board of Mydia100. He is spearheading Mydia's aggressive expansion.

ARPITA CHATTERJEE

Arpita is a rare multi-dimensional talent. On one hand, she is an accomplished actor, a classical singer, a trained dancer, and on the other, a passionate entrepreneur with a sharp and creative mind. Arpita’s passion for business, production and creativity drove her to launch her own production house a decade ago. Arpita has been instrumental in devising and driving varied show formats on GEC channels in the Bengali Market. Many of these shows have proved to be TRP drivers and have enjoyed long successful runs spanning many seasons.

Arpita is a co-founder and a director on the Board of Mydia100. She is incharge of all creative and content output of Mydia100.

VINAYAK JOSHI

Vinayak turned entrepreneur in 2001, six years after passing out from IIM Bangalore with a major in finance. His first two ventures were in e-learning, one of which became a Naukri Group company. In 2009, he founded Learning Concepts, which develops Web-based software. It has designed and developed aidflows.org, a World Bank website that visualises the flow of aid between donor and recipient countries. Alongside running Learning Concepts, Vinayak is a Strategy partner with Mydia100, where he is in-charge of the entire technology piece.

SAJAL SINGH

Sajal Singh, head of production in Mydia100 communications is an avid flyer and Science graduate from Lucknow University. He has 17 years of experience in the field of Television and Multimedia. During his tenure he has worked with some of the top TV Channels like Zee, Sahara, 9X, Discovery and Al Jazeera. He has also workedclosely with different Ad Agencies, and Production Houses. He spearheaded the creative departments in graphic, on-air promotions and TV channel branding teams.

Santosh Dash

Santosh Dash is a B.Tech from Regional Engineering College, Rourkela and M.B.A (Finance & Systems) from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. He has two decades of multi- dimensional experience in consulting (some of the notable areas being, strategies on e-Governance, information technology, capacity building, business process re-engineering etc.); managing greenfield projects; developing strong relationship with Govt Authorities at State level and being directly accountable for the revenue generation as well as enhancing the bottom-line of the organization.

He has played a key role in steering several G2C (Govt. to Customer) projects, developing a deep insight into executing them while fostering a healthy relationship with Government bodies. He has been instrumental in revolutionizing the rural retail landscape in India. He developed insights into the last mile banking in India and brought several interventions in e-commerce as well as G2C space.
